SERVE, Inc. provides services to the citizens of Callaway County that address homelessness, transportation, GED Education, recovery support services, clothing needs, food, disaster relief and emergency financial assistance to help individuals and families maintain self sufficiency, and the promotion of volunteerism. These services are offered through one of the three SERVE Programs and a Department of Mental Health contract: CALTRAN a public transportation program; the Callaway Action Network (CAN) which provides food, emergency utility & shelter assistance, clothing through a thrift shop, Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes for GED students, school supply distribution, Adopt-a-Family-Holiday assistance; Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) recruits and places volunteers 55 and older with non-for-profit agencies in Callaway County, mentoring for children in out-of-home placement or with an incarcerated parent, and individuals reentering the community from incarceration.  Access to Recovery (ATR) provides resources addressing relapse prevention.
