Girl Scouting builds girls of
courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
The Girl Scouts – Heart of Missouri Council serves over 8000 girl and
adult members in 18 central Missouri counties. Program initiatives
include math, science, and technology; financial literacy; and healthy
living. Uniquely ME!, sponsored by the Dove Foundation, reaches out
to girls to build self-esteem. The Girl Scout cookie sales
program is
held each year beginning in January. Outdoor activities and camping
continue to be popular with Girl Scouts everywhere. Girl Scouting is
open to all girls ages 5 – 17 regardless of race, ethnicity,
socioeconomic status or ability.
